The Knightsbridge Estate
From 2017 through to 2023, Yaeger oversaw the development of the K1 Knightsbridge Estate.
K1 - An iconic, prime, luxury mixed use scheme in the heart of the retail capital of London, Knightsbridge. This impressive scheme encompassed 6 flagship retail units, with pre-let tenants Apple and Burberry, circa 60,000 sqft of prime commercial CAT A space, 34 high end built to rent apartments and a roof top hospitality offer. Behind the stunning retained façade of this project significant infrastructure works were required to create the modern use of the space.
This included; demolition of several existing units, façade retention, underpinning, excavation three basements deep, relocation of the Knightsbridge tube station and restoration of a grade 2 listed building. In conjunction with LUL re-use of existing assets were undertaken to provide step free access to the tube which is a significant addition to London’s public transport accessibility.
Over a five-year period Yaeger undertook the Project Management and Contract Administration role under the JCT Major Projects Construction Contract. Working collaboratively with the Owners; The Olayan Group, Development Managers: Chelsfield LLP, Main Contractor: Skanksa Construction UK Ltd and an established design team including; Fletcher Priest Architects, Chapmans BDSP and Watermans Ltd and many others to deliver a successful and complex project.
